Cleaning Fountain Pens
Fountain pens (like cars); like to be used every day. If not used for a while then they need to be cleaned. Take out the converter or cartridge and flush the nib through with cold (not hot); water until the water runs clear. If you have a converter, refit it and use it to push and pull cold water from a cup through the nib - again until it runs clear. A little household ammonia in the water will shift clogged ink. Soak for 24 hours if necessary. Put it all back together and refill with ink or a new cartridge.


Personalise your Visconti pen
Visconti has created 'My Pen System' which is a unique patented system allowing each Visconti pen to be personalised. The tip of each pen displays a circular metal Visconti logo as standard, held in place with strong magnetic force. To your specification we can replace this logo with one of three types of customising elements: Initials, Zodiac symbols and Natural Stones.


Initials
You can choose two initials, embossed onto semi-circular pieces of metal plate which interlock to form a circle. The letters are in an elegant script font to complement perfectly the classic Visconti style. When checking out, please specify which two letters are desired using the instruction box. Oriental Zodiac symbols
We can personalise your pen in an individual way, by replacing the Visconti logo with an oriental zodic sign inlaid into a circular glossy black surround.

Choose from: Mouse, Ox, Tiger, Horse, Goat, Rooster, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Monkey, Dog, Pig. Click here to choose your sign.

     

 

Western Zodiac symbols
We can replace the Visconti logo with your western zodiac sign inlaid into a circular glossy black surround. Choose from: Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Acquarius, Pisces.Click here to choose your sign.

     


Natural stones
We can personalise your pen in a colourful way, by replacing the Visconti logo with your birthstone. The rounded circular stones have been set beautifully into a metal ring, and we think they complement perfectly a classic black or plain coloured pen.

Choose from: Amber, Natural Amethyst, Cornelian, Hematite, Malachite, Lapislazuli, Tigers-eye, Onyx, Olive, Pearl, Turquoise, Yellow Agate. Click here to choose your stone.
