Introducing the Visconti pen range

Every pen tells a story

Each Visconti writing instrument tells a story, inspired by Visconti's continuous intense historical research and their love for human culture. The company was founded in 1988 in Florence, and its Florentine character can be identified in each pen by the premium and precious materials such as gold, silver and palladium, and by the faultless use of technology. Visconti's ideal is to take influences from art, archaeology, philosophy, mathematics, literature, and history to make each pen a tribute to human culture. Historical moments and prestigious characters go hand in hand with Visconti's fine writing instruments: their elegant fountain pens have been selected for the official signing of the end of the cold war and most recently the Divina collection was used at the 2009 G8 summit.

Technological handicraft

Visconti's incessant love for culture and history leads them to pursue strong technological research, involving a study of old models and technical inventions. This rediscovering of handicraft is balanced beautifully with Visconti's passion for innovation, which is reflected in Visconti's faultless design and search for the best materials such as Celluloid, ivory, ebonite and lucite. With stunning design and premium manufacturing processes, Visconti achieves pens that are elegant and timeless.

Personalise your Visconti pen

A recent innovative feature of the whole Visconti range is Visconti's 'My Pen System' which allows each pen to be customised with initials, meaningful symbols or precious stones. The tip of each pen displays a circular metal Visconti logo as standard and this is held in place with strong magnetic force. We can exchange this with initials, symbols or stones to your specification, allowing you to personalise your pen in a subtle and attractive way.

These unique personalising elements are also interchangeable with exclusive Visconti cufflinks, earrings and pins which are available to purchase and personalise using the same method. For more detail and to purchase this service with your Visconti pen, please see the My Pen System page.

Products:

Homo Sapiens

The Homo Sapiens range is new in 2010 and it is the use of materials that makes it truly innovative. With the intent of creating an extremely durable daily friend for the real writer, Visconti turned to the Etna volcano to bestow the virtually unbreakable over 50% lava body to this incredibly long lasting range. It is groundbreaking and introduces the new 2010 Dreamtouch nib, yet it is inspired by the ancient bronze age.

Divina

The entire Divina collection is united by an innovative spiral shape which has been inspired by the divine proportions of the sequence of Fibonacci and the Golden Number of 1618, reflected in the length of the cap in both open and closed positions. The fantastic sterling silver spiral is sized to the divine proportion and is set against a polished black Lucite body making this unique range both classy and original.

 Art Collection

The Visconti Art range conjures images of great architectural eras which have been interpreted into three designs of fine writing instruments: Ellenic, Renaissance and Nouveau. They are reminiscent of ancient Greek architecture, medieval knights and the highly stylized, flowing form Nouveau style of decorative arts. Choose a Visconti Art pen for understated style and an enduring classic.

Opera

The Visconti Opera fountain pen range is united by a ‘squared-circle’ form, and the pens differ through their colour variation and size. This classic and refined range is Visconti's largest range of regular edition pens. The Opera Black series is classic and business-like. The opera elements series reflects nature's four elements and has supported important worldwide events under the patronage of UNESCO.

Wall Street

Perfectly proportioned, the Wall Street range follows the Visconti ‘squaring the circle’ design, providing an attractive unusual shape yet remaining ergonomically superb. The layered celluloid body is reminiscent of the Manhattan skyline and is slightly see-through offering an insight into the Visconti Florentine technological handicraft. Choose the Wall Street for a mature, clean, modern design.

Rembrandt

The elegant Rembrandt fountain pen embodies this concept perfectly, a masterpiece inspired by the chiaroscuro painting technique of Rembrandt himself. It gives the impression of a hand painted finish and makes each pen individually unique. Parts of the finish are slightly translucent providing glimpses into the faultless Visconti technology. Visconti’s art heritage and attention to detail are evident in the design of this range, and we really think that the Rembrandt fountain pen is a fantastic and affordable writing instrument.

Michelangelo

New for 2011, the Visconti Michelangelo range is designed to reflect the cut gem quality of a diamond. The natural resin is shaped into 36 sides which, like a many facetted diamond, signify the quality of the pen. Inspired by Ancient Greece the double incised band around the cap features a double Greek key engraved with the elegant Visconti V and the name ‘Michelangelo’.The Michelangelo range is available in 2 attractive finishes: black with plum-coloured bronze trims and blue with palladium trims.

Van Gogh Maxi

The Van Gogh range has a refreshingly pure and uncompromising cigar shape. It is the colour that supplies the decadence to these pens as each of the five colour combinations are striking. The natural vegetal resin material gives a great depth and translucency rendering no two pens identical, delivering individuality to each pen. As the name Van Gogh suggests the range was inspired by, and is reminiscent of, impressionist paintings.
