Introducing the Parker pen range

Family  values
Parker is one of the most recognisable and popular writing brands worldwide and is known for its combination of quality in manufacture and performance and its iconic design. George Parker, the American founder, started as a pen sales agent but soon realised he could make a better pen himself, without the risk of leaking that early fountain pens held. He patented the Lucky Curve feed in 1894: it was used in his pens until 1928, by which time he had built up a successful family brand that would become an icon. Despite the Parker arrow now being a trademark recognised worldwide, every Parker is still checked at every stage of its manufacture for optimum quality and performance.

Modern icons
Parker’s most iconic products are instantly recognisable. The flagship Duofold, innovatively developed in 1921, has been through many incarnations but retains its core features – reliability, luxury and style. The timeless Sonnet evokes stylish luxury and has been engineered to provide absolute reliability, while the bestselling Jotter range has been fulfilling the needs of an everyday pen since 1954. Parker have made writing instruments for the Royal family since they gained the royal warrant in 1962, and the brand now extends to accessories and ink: the Parker Quink ink was patented in 1931 and was specifically developed for use in Parker pens.

Products:

Parker Duofold

A product of the Art Deco and jazz era, the Parker Duofold has been the flagship Parker pen since its launch. Originally reflecting the daring creativity of the 1920s, it was revolutionary in both quality and design. Big Red, its first incarnation, was made of hard rubber but the modern version is manufactured in cast acrylic and precious metals, with various nib grades and a precision-engineered ink feed and collector system. The luxurious Duofold is now so iconic to collectors that there is even a coffee-table book written about it – Duofold by Shepherd and Zazove.
