The Parker 51 fountain pen is one of the world's most iconic writing instruments, admired for its traditional qualities and superb writing performance. This version is based on the original 1941 production with a couple of modern adaptations. Inspired by the past, built for the future.
What is it made from?
The barrel and grip section are expertly rendered from precious resin in a gorgeous midnight blue colour, complete with a polished finish. The cap is manufactured from stainless steel, decorated with a brushed metal effect, shiny palladium trims and the signature Parker pocket clip. The nib is also built from stainless steel and is protected by the hooded grip section to provide you with a comfortable and clean writing experience.
What kind of refills does it use?
The pen is provided with a long Parker Quink Ink Cartridge as standard, which are highly recommended for everyday writing. There are also mini versions available and are a practical accessory to keep as spares. You can also use the pen with bottled ink by fitting it with a Parker Deluxe Converter (included). This is essentially an empty ink cartridge that you can refill multiple times with a fountain pen ink of your choice.
