If you're looking for a writing instrument full of traditional qualities, the Parker 51 is an excellent choice. Originally launched in 1941, the collection has maintained an outstanding reputation in the penmanship industry for decades. Today's version still takes inspiration from the original design, with the exception of a few modern tweaks. Inspired by the past, built for the future.
What is it made from?
The barrel and grip section are produced from precious burgundy resin, which has been polished to give the pen a gloss-like appearance. Discretely fitted under the grip is a hooded-nib, engineered from high-quality stainless steel. This unique nib feature is designed to offer a comfortable and blemish-free writing experience. The cap of the pen is also styled from stainless steel and has been beautifully embellished with palladium plated details, including Parker's iconic pocket clip.
What kind of refills does it use?
The pen is provided with a long Parker Quink Ink Cartridge as standard, which are highly recommended for everyday writers. There are also mini versions available separately. You can also use the pen with bottled ink by fitting it with a Parker Deluxe Converter (included). This is essentially an empty ink cartridge that you can refill over and over again with a fountain pen ink of your choice.
