Pencils have been around for hundreds of years, and its difficult to pinpoint how they came about, with several stories circulating about who invented the first pencil. All we know, is that they are one of the most simple, and useful tools with so many uses its impossible to write them all down.
We’re willing to bet you learnt to write, and draw with a pencil, and still today they have a huge presence in art, and worklife due to their accessibility, and non-permanent nature, assisting with notes, quick sketches, marking, and DIY, as well as classroom learning.
Available in various different hardness, which all comes down to the task in hand and personal preference, some with erasers on the end, and in many different colours. There is a pencil for everyone.
